Love the busy boards you see online but don't want to pay the outrageous price tag? I will show you how to easily assemble one yourself that you can customize to make your child's busy board as unique as they are! I love these boards for many reasons-when placed upright, they allow for your child to practice manipulating objects from a vertical surface, can encourage crossing the middle of the body, and encourage problem solving!
There is also something to be said for making something of your own after envisioning it in your own head. This is far from perfect but I love how it turned out!
Step 1:decide on a location for your board, then the size and shape. If your little one is not yet pulling to stand you can get away with laying the board on the floor, if they are pulling to stand or standing unassisted then you will want to mount it to the wall. Step 2: Pick out the individual parts for your busy board. Places like hobby lobby, hardware stores, or etsy are all great places to find items! (I will provide etsy store names for some of the harder to find items on our busy board).
Step 3: Place your items. Think about the height of the board if mounting it, and the height of your child to be able to interact with the pieces. Most items came with hardware for installation.

Step 5: Present to your babe! This is the most fun part! :)
